We are looking for a Strategic Lead (Trust & Foundations Fundraising) to provide strategic leadership of our trusts and foundations programme, proactively developing networks, virtually and in person, to engage new funders, creating a comprehensive new strategic pipeline of funding prospects and delivering outstanding stewardship to our existing funders, to maintain and grow relationships.
What you'll do
Collaborate with stakeholders across the charity to understand priority projects, business aims and key objectives.
Develop & drive the strategy and action plan for Trusts and Foundations fundraising, adapting plans based on fresh insight while ensuring plans align to NDCS’ overall strategic goals and priorities.
Confidently collaborate with senior stakeholders and utilise networks to connect and engage with new potential funders to grow and develop the prospect pipeline.
Using keen research skills to perform due diligence ensuring projects are an ideal match for funders, and that potential partners are compatible with our aims and our values.
Develop complex bids and write engaging applications, utilising outstanding storytelling skills to secure funding for our cause.
What you'll need
Strong experience in leading a trust and foundations fundraising programme, developing the strategy and regularly updating action plans to ensure success.
Proven ability to inspire confidence, working proactively with senior stakeholders, and to leverage key networks to connect with and engage new funders, to grow and develop the prospect pipeline.
Demonstrable experience in developing new funder relationships from prospecting to partnership.
Strong research skills and a demonstrable ability to perform due diligence to ensure projects meet funding criteria and that partners are aligned with NDCS values.
Excellent written skills with a creative storytelling ability, clearly demonstrating the case for support and bringing funders on a journey, resulting in successful funding bids that deliver six-figure plus donations.
Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles.
A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).
