The Work From Home Hub is your go-to place for everything you need to work from home or employ remote based workers.

Helping you thrive in home based teams

For some, working from home is a welcome luxury, a flexible perk that helps strike a healthier work-life balance. For others, it's an essential lifeline. Whether due to disability, caring responsibilities, or living in a remote area, countless people across the UK depend on working from home as their only viable pathway to enter the workforce

The Work From Home Hub is a dedicated resource for:

Job seekers: simplifying the search for remote roles and providing support and advice for those seeking flexible employment.

Remote workers: acting as a resource hub filled with guidance, tools, and inspiration to help individuals thrive in a home based work environment.

Employers: offers insights and support to help build happy, high-performing remote teams.

The Work From Home Hub website officially went live in July 2025 with the foundations firmly in place. Think of it like a freshly built house: the structure is solid, but it still needs windows, doors, heating, hot water, electricity, decorating, and furnishing.

Plenty has already been done behind the scenes, but there’s still so much more to come. As I continue to build it piece by piece, you’ll hopefully notice something new each time you visit, unless, of course, you’re planning to drop by three times a day!

Meet the The WFH Hub founder - Kat

Katrina Rutter founded The Work From Home Hub in March 2020, having already spent 10 years building and leading high performing, remote based customer service teams, primarily within the fast-paced courier industry.

Since 2017, Kat had been keeping a record of other organisations using distributed customer service teams, initially as a resource to share with unsuccessful applicants and to learn and share best practice. In response to the pandemic in March 2020 The Work From Home Hub Facebook page was born, which has grown to a community over over 375,000 individuals in 2025.

During her time running The Work From Home Hub, Kat has discovered that there is a great lack of support for job seekers, especially those looking for remote/flexible working and even less so for those who need to work from home. Kat has made it her mission to change that with The Work From Home Hub and after pivoting in her career to work in Digital Transformation, she took the leap away from employment to focus entirely on The WFH Hub in December 2024.
