    The role

    We are looking for a Community Activism Lead to grow activism amongst families of deaf children and volunteers so that they can shape the future of the services deaf children depend on.

     

    What you'll do

    • Develop models and strategies for activism at a local, community level; innovating and learning from best practice and relationship building in the sector

    • Collaborate with Community Connectors and Advice and Guidance Officers in providing support to families and professionals to take collective action

    • Provide direction to the Digital Campaigning Specialist and Campaigning Officer, and ensuring alignment across our campaigning activities

    • Exploring and developing recommendations for the role of volunteers in providing support for local activism

    • Collaborating with our communications team to develop compelling messaging, materials and targeted engagement

     

    What you'll need

    • Proven ability to design and deliver successful influencing campaigns

    • Knowledge of the latest approaches to engaging people with campaigns

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, adept at maintaining relationships at all levels

    • Good knowledge of devolution and political systems and structures across the UK

    • Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles.

    • A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).
