The Role

As our SEO Content Strategist, you’ll lead the development of compelling, data-driven content that attracts, informs, and converts our global audience. Reporting to the Head of SEO, you’ll own the WPT Global blog and drive organic growth through high-impact content campaigns. From evergreen poker guides to conversion-optimised landing pages, you’ll bring strategy and execution together to strengthen our brand’s digital footprint.
We’re looking for someone with deep poker and casino knowledge, strong SEO experience, and a passion for delivering content that makes a measurable difference.
Requirements
Proven experience in content strategy and SEO within the gambling, iGaming, or gaming space.
A strong portfolio of high-performing poker and casino content across blogs, educational pieces, and digital campaigns.
Native-level English writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for detail.
Deep understanding of poker (either as a player or content expert) and casino dynamics.
Ability to turn complex information into clear, accessible, and engaging narratives.
Skilled in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent, with a firm grasp of backlink strategy and performance tracking.
Confident managing your own roadmap and priorities while aligning with broader team goals.
Creative, curious, and passionate about content that makes an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute a high-impact SEO content strategy focused on blog and evergreen content for poker and casino audiences.
Create engaging, educational, and persuasive content including guides, infographics, landing pages, and thought leadership pieces.
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Marketing, PR, Product, and Design to deliver best-in-class content aligned with business objectives.
Apply SEO best practices to improve visibility, rankings, and lead generation — with a sharp focus on E-E-A-T, link acquisition, and technical performance.
Monitor performance and adapt using data and insights from organic analytics and competitor benchmarking.
Ensure consistent tone, voice, and messaging across all content in alignment with WPT Global’s brand guidelines.
Experiment with formats and storytelling angles, bringing fresh ideas and agile execution to our content mix.
Stay ahead of industry trends, surfacing insights and recommendations that keep WPT Global at the forefront of content marketing in the gaming space.
