Are you a passionate QA Automation Engineer who loves building robust, high-quality test frameworks? Ready to make a real impact in a team that values collaboration, hard work, and having fun along the way?

Animal Friends is on a mission to provide the best possible care for the nation's pets, and we need your expertise to ensure our digital products are second to none. We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join us on a 12-month contract, helping us shape and drive our automation strategy forward.

    What you’ll be doing:

You won't just be running tests; you'll be building the foundations of quality. You’ll take the lead in extending our test automation frameworks using modern tools like Playwright and Cypress. Your day-to-day will involve:

    • Building what matters: Implementing and expanding our automation frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript) across API, component, and E2E tests.

    • Driving quality: Championing best practices, maintaining our regression packs, and ensuring our CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) are fast and reliable.

    • Mentoring the team: Sharing your knowledge, pairing with other QAs, and conducting code reviews to foster a culture of clean, maintainable test code.

    • Collaborating for success: Working closely with developers, BAs, and product owners to ensure we’re building the right things, right.

    What you’ll bring:

You’re a seasoned QA who is as comfortable writing clean code as you are strategising test plans. You thrive in an agile environment and are passionate about coaching others. We're looking for:

    • Deep expertise in test automation with modern frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.

    • Proven experience in API testing (Postman, Axios) and a solid grasp of SQL.

    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure DevOps.

    • A collaborative spirit and a genuine passion for mentoring and elevating the team around you.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for everyone.

    Why Animal Friends?

We're a team that pulls together to achieve amazing things. We work hard, celebrate our successes, and genuinely care about what we do. Here, you’ll find a supportive environment where you can make a tangible impact on projects that matter to millions of pet owners.
