What is the purpose of the Senior Marketing Officer?
The role's purpose is to coordinate and deliver fundraising marketing campaigns for the Mass Participation Fundraising Team.
Mass Participation Fundraising is an important acquisition and income stream feeding in to the Engagement and Fundraising directorate. The team is divided into three main areas – Third Party Events, Schools Fundraising and DIY fundraising. We are looking for a skilled Senior Marketing Officer to work across these audience streams to coordinate marketing activity, providing a holistic view of marketing activity across owned, earned and paid marketing channels.
This role will focus on marketing to mass audiences to reflect the breadth of audiences who take part in Mass Participation Events. This includes parents, grandparents, professionals who work with children, those with a personal connection to our charity, or simply those who care deeply about children.
The role plays a key part in generating income to support the NSPCC's mission. You'll contribute by delivering ambitious participation and income targets through your marketing activity.
What will I be doing as a Senior Marketing Officer?
As a Senior Marketing Officer, you will work closely with the Mass Participation Team to coordinate and deliver the planning, execution and evaluation of events fundraising marketing campaigns across all channels:
Adopting a holistic view of all Mass Participation Team's marketing to ensure consistency, and will have a good understanding of how this fits with the organisation's strategic goals.
Strategic management of the planning and coordination of events across a wide range of channels, ensuring that activities are integrated, informed, planned and evaluated, and that performance metrics are reached
Championing an audience-led approach to ensure all communications targeted at mass audiences are relevant and useful, as part of our Supporter Centricity Programme goals.
What skills do I need to be a Senior Marketing Officer?
We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic marketing professional who has experience delivering insights-driven marketing strategies that make an impact.
You'll be a great communicator, able to build effective working relationships and influence a range of stakeholders.
You'll be able to work independently and will have a track record of successfully juggling multiple projects and competing priorities to meet strict deadlines.
You will also have experience working across paid, owned and earned marketing channel, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
