People Assistant

Salary: 24000 GBP – 25000 GBP (Annum) 

  • We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused People Assistant to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is essential in helping us deliver smooth and efficient People operations as we work towards ambitious organisational goals and an evolving People strategy.

    You will report to our highly skilled Chief of People and work closely with our People Advisor. Our team is small but collaborative, well-connected across the business, and passionate about delivering a great employee-experience!

    This is a highly operational, administrative role that is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining structure, ensuring accuracy, managing a busy inbox and supporting processes across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in the smooth running of our People function through efficient administrative support, maintaining our HRIS and ensuring we deliver an excellence service to our people.

    Deliver top-quality People administration:

    • Manage the People Team inbox, responding to queries or triaging them promptly

    • Support the full employee lifecycle; onboarding, probation tracking, changes and leavers

    • Maintain accurate people data across systems, including our HRIS (Employment Hero), and run reports as needed

    • Provide administrative support for monthly payroll processing

    • Assist with recruitment administration (posting roles, arranging interviews, tracking candidates)

    • Keep People documents, templates, and processes organised and up to date

    Support ongoing People initiatives and projects

    • Improvements and enhancements to our HRIS

    • Employee engagement and internal communication activities

    • Wellbeing and ESG-related initiatives

    • Reviewing and updating benefits information and processes

    What You’ll Bring

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

    • Confident planning, prioritising, and working to deadlines

    • Ability to build professional relationships remotely and in person

    • Comfortable handling queries and supporting internal stakeholders

    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Teams/SharePoint.

    • Experience with HR administration or HR systems (Employment Hero experience is a plus).
