    ProblemShared has created strong partnerships servicing several NHS, university, and insurer contracts to deliver high quality ADHD and Autism assessments as well as assessments for learning differences. We offer wrap-around care in the form of psychoeducation, prescribing, educational navigation, and therapy sessions all under one roof.  

    About the role

    Working independently, our Talk Therapy Practitioners provide short-term talk therapy (up to 10 sessions a week) for members referred by a leading insurance provider. Many clients will have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD or SpLD, and will present with co-occurring mental health needs. 

    This role is part of a highly skilled team delivering adapted, evidence-based therapy for children, young people, and their families. All work is delivered remotely and independently.


    You will need

    • Experience delivering adapted therapy for neurodivergent children, young people and families using your strong understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD, Autism, SpLD etc.).

    • Awareness of how trauma and adverse childhood experiences can impact individuals.

    • Ability to assess risk and develop effective risk management plans. 

    • Have excellent clinical record-keeping skills and adherence to governance and organisational policies. 

    • Experience delivering therapy and working in line with NICE guidance for common mental health conditions.

    • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for common mental health difficulties (e.g. anxiety, low mood).

    • Experience working with clients presenting with risk to self or others. 

    • Sound knowledge of safeguarding requirements and confidentiality in practice. 

    • Ability to plan and deliver mental health care within a structured pathway. 

    • Ability to work independently and recognise limits of competence. 

    • Confidence using digital platforms and delivering therapy remotely. 

    • High-quality written communication skills, including timely and accurate clinical reports. 

    Qualifying criteria

    • Full accreditation with a recognised professional body; e.g., HCPC, BABCP, UKCP registered, BACP accredited) and a minimum of 2 years post qualification supervised practice

    • Significant, evidenced experience working with neurodiverse populations

    • Professional Indemnity Insurance (current) 

    • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

    Desirables

    • Post-graduate training (Diploma or higher) in a recognised talking therapy modality

    • Additional training in modalities such as CBT, CFT, IPT, DIT or CAT. S
      Training in ADHD behavioural coaching

    • Awareness of psychological and psychiatric models of care

    • Understanding of research and evidence-based practice 

    • Experience providing supervision or contributing to clinical governance
