  • About the Team 
    You’ll be part of a collaborative IT Applications team that supports critical systems used across education, adult services, and corporate functions. The team works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure applications are secure, reliable, and continuously improving to meet organisational needs.

    About the Role 
    As an Application Support Engineer, you’ll provide 2nd and 3rd line support for a range of business‑critical applications, including assistive technologies, care systems, and e‑learning platforms. You’ll build strong technical expertise, resolve complex issues, manage application changes and upgrades, and deliver a high standard of customer service while working primarily remotely, with occasional on‑site support as required.

    What You’ll Do 

    • Support, maintain, and configure key applications, providing 2nd and 3rd line support, managing upgrades, changes, and system security. 

    • Work closely with users, stakeholders, and suppliers to diagnose issues, deliver solutions, and deploy new functionality. 

    • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, contributing to more efficient and effective ways of working across the organisation.

    What We’re Looking For 

    • A strong technical understanding of applications, with experience supporting systems and working with a range of stakeholders. 

    • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills, with a customer‑focused approach to problem solving. 

    •  Experience working in an IT or application support environment; ITIL certification and a driving licence are desirable.
