    Impact Futures Group have a brand new opportunity for a strategic and talented individual to join our People Team as Director of People & Culture. The role is hybrid, a blend between working from home and travelling occasionally for meetings. Salary offered is up to £70k per year. 

    The Role:
    As a Director of People & Culture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the people agenda within a fast-growing, private equity-backed independent training provider. This role will report directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the design and execution of key people and culture initiatives that support rapid growth, organisational transformation, and value creation. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused leadership role; ideal for someone who thrives on turning strategy into action at pace.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Culture & Engagement
    - Lead the delivery of culture initiatives that reinforce organisational values, behaviours, and performance expectations
    - Partner with the CPO to embed values into everyday practices, leadership behaviours, and performance conversations
    - Drive employee engagement, listening strategies, and action planning aligned to business priorities

    Succession & Workforce Planning
    - Support in the design and delivery of robust succession planning processes to build leadership depth and future capability
    - Lead workforce planning activities to ensure the organisation has the right skills, capacity, and structure to support growth
    - Use insight and data to inform talent decisions and future investment

    Leadership & Capability Development
    - Support on the design and implementation of leadership development programmes aligned to organisational needs
    - Support leaders at all levels to build capability in people leadership, performance management, and change
    - Partner closely with the business to identify critical capability gaps and development priorities

    Learning & Development
    - Own and evolve the organisation’s learning and development strategy, aligned to business goals and growth plans
    - Lead the design and delivery of capability-building programmes across leadership, management, and functional skills
    - Embed learning into the flow of work, ensuring development is practical, accessible, and measurable
    - Oversee development pathways for key roles, supporting progression, retention, and internal mobility
    - Evaluate the impact of learning initiatives and continuously improve based on outcomes and feedback

    Wellbeing & Employee Experience
    - Own and evolve the organisation’s wellbeing strategy, ensuring it is practical, inclusive, and impactful
    - Embed wellbeing into ways of working, leadership practices, and people policies
    - Champion a positive employee experience across the full lifecycle

    Change Management & M&A Support
    - Provide hands-on change management support for organisational transformation initiatives
    - Play a key role in M&A activity, supporting people integration and cultural alignment
    - Drive rapid realisation of people and culture synergies following acquisitions, balancing pace with engagement

    Stakeholder Partnership
    - Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, supporting them through growth, complexity, and change
    - Collaborate closely with the wider People team to ensure joined-up delivery across the people agenda
    - Support the CPO with board- and investor-level people initiatives as required

    - Culture initiatives are clearly understood, lived, and reinforced through leadership behaviour
    - Succession and workforce plans are in place for critical roles and future growth
    - Leaders are better equipped, more confident, and more consistent in how they lead people
    - Acquisitions are integrated quickly with minimal disruption and strong cultural alignment
    - Employees feel supported, engaged, and clear on expectations during periods of change

    About you:

    Essential
    - Significant experience in a senior People / HR leadership role
    - Proven track record of delivering culture and engagement initiatives
    - Strong experience in succession planning and workforce planning
    - Demonstrable experience supporting organisational change and transformation
    - Experience supporting M&A integration, ideally in a PE-backed or high-growth environment
    - Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

    Desirable
    - Experience within education, training, professional services, or similarly people-centric sectors
    - Exposure to PE-backed environments or fast-growth organisations
    - Experience designing or delivering leadership development programmes
