About Jisc:
For 30 years Jisc has pioneered digital solutions for UK education and research, transforming how knowledge is created, shared and used.
We are uniquely positioned to protect, promote and lead the sector in digital and data transformation, making a difference to students, communities and society. Together, we are
working to build a better digital future for education and research.
Raise your potential at Jisc through our culture of lifelong learning. At Jisc, we're all about growth, so embrace new challenges, sharpen your skills and shape a career that excites you.
About the team:
Prospects.ac.uk is the UK’s leading graduate careers platform, supporting 1.5 million students every month as they explore their next steps in work and study. Our mission is to help students feel confident, informed and inspired about their future, and our marketing plays a key role in connecting them with the tools, advice and opportunities they need.
This role sits within the Student Services marketing team, part of the Customer and Sector Enablement directorate at Jisc. The team focuses on understanding, engaging and growing our student audience through thoughtful, data‑driven communications that support students throughout their career and education decision‑making.
The role:
You will help deliver targeted, data‑led email marketing, automated journeys and digital campaigns that reach students at the right moment with the right message.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across marketing, product and data to ensure our student communications are accurate, personalised and impactful. You’ll also support members, employers and education partners by helping them connect with the students who are most relevant to their opportunities.
This is a great role for someone early in their marketing career who’s excited to learn, experiment and grow, with plenty of support, collaboration and hands‑on experience along the way.
Key responsibilities:
Support the management and maintenance of our email marketing database, ensuring lists are accurate and well‑segmented
Help design, implement and optimise automated email journeys and ad‑hoc campaigns across the student lifecycle
Build and share regular performance reports with the B2C Marketing & Events Manager to inform planning, budgeting and decision‑making
Work with marketing, product and data colleagues to validate audience data and ensure consistent, reliable metrics
Monitor email performance, troubleshoot issues and escalate to our external ESP supplier when needed
Use Digioh and other engagement tools to support targeted audience acquisition and personalised communications
Align audience insights with wider campaign strategy through close collaboration with marketing colleagues
Contribute to the delivery of careers fairs and student engagement events, which may involve travel, overnight stays, and occasional weekend work.
What we are looking for:
Experience using an email provider or customer data platform
Familiarity with segmentation, personalisation and automation
Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well across teams
A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with willingness to learn and improve
Experience using Google Analytics or reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI (desirable)

Hybrid working:
Specific patterns for working in the office are not mandated, and the frequency of time worked in the office is agreed with your manager. Meeting in person is something we value so you may need to travel on occasion to any of our hub offices.
