    About the role 

    Macmillan’s Electronic Holistic Needs Assessment (eHNA) is a vital tool that helps ensure people living with cancer and other long-term conditions receive personalised care that addresses their physical, emotional, practical, and financial concerns. Used by over 130 organisations across the NHS, private healthcare, and voluntary sectors, eHNA facilitates meaningful conversations between healthcare professionals and patients, capturing concerns, actions, and outcomes to support better care planning.

    As Operational Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of eHNA. Working closely with the Strategic Lead, you’ll coordinate onboarding, contracting, training, and partner communications, and provide high-quality operational and administrative support. You’ll help maintain accurate records, produce reports, and respond to partner queries, contributing to the continued success and evolution of eHNA.

    This role can be performed largely from home with occasional travel to Macmillan offices or client partners.

     About you:  

      
    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

    • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with experience managing multiple tasks and stakeholders.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with external partners.

    • Experience working with or within NHS or healthcare settings is desirable.

    • Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting, documentation, and communication.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.

    • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

    • Experienced in designing, delivering and evaluating learning interventions.

    • Experience of using own initiative in organising and prioritising workload.

    • IT literate and experienced in using Microsoft Office and standard programme/project management tools.
