Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE

The job
You’d run our Digital PR team: its people, its clients and its revenue number. You’d report to our Organic Search Director and work closely with them, turning strategic direction into clear priorities and standards for the team.
You’d have the data you need to make decisions (revenue, margin, utilisation), and you’d sit alongside our other channel leads (SEO, Content, Social and Paid Media) working on the same challenges. You’d stay billable, mostly through advisory work, review and client communication, and you’d be supported and coached by senior leadership.
What you’d be doing
You’d lead the Digital PR team to hit its client KPIs and commercial targets. That means setting the standard for our campaigns, outreach and media relationships, managing capacity, allocation and deadlines, and making sure every piece of work shows clear commercial value. You’d lead client calls and QSRs, connecting performance back to what each client is trying to achieve.
You’d also:
Manage and develop your people through regular 1:1s and quarterly reviews, deal with underperformance promptly, and support recruitment, onboarding and training.
Grow the channel by driving renewals and upsells with Client Services, and bringing commercially grounded Digital PR input to pitches.
Own the channel’s numbers (forecast, margin, utilisation) and spot where we can be more efficient.
Be the escalation point when a client or a campaign is off track.
Keep the service current by finding better ways of working (new ideas, automation) and staying ahead of how search and the media are changing, including earning visibility in AI answers.
Work with SEO, Content, Paid Media, Social and Client Services so clients get joined-up strategies and campaigns.
Step into delivery when the team needs it to protect a deadline.
Who we think this is
You’ve led a Digital PR team in an agency and been judged on client outcomes and commercial results (retention, revenue, margin).
You’ve probably been at an agency of 20 to 100 people, with SEO, content, digital PR, paid media and social on the services list.
You know what makes a campaign land with journalists, and you’ve built the media relationships and the coverage to show for it.
You’ve grown a channel’s client list and revenue.
You’ve hired and developed people, and managed underperformance.
You’re comfortable in commercial conversations, with a founder or marketing director asking why the spend is worth it, and with colleagues asking about forecast and margin.
You’ve worked in at least one of ecommerce, B2B lead generation, beauty and wellbeing, or financial services.
If most of this sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you. If there are gaps, tell us in your application what you’d bring instead.
Where it could lead
As the channel grows, there’s room to take on more responsibility for its commercial performance, its people and how the service develops.
