1. About my role
The Social Media Manager delivers Art Fund’s social media strategy through the creation, publishing and reporting of great content across our social channels. They play a crucial role in growing audiences, expanding our membership, telling the story of our charitable mission, and building our brand awareness. They will lead on the delivery of social media content and campaigns, integrate social across Art Fund’s digital communications, and be a source of insight and expertise on developments and trends on social media.

3. Key accountabilities
Content planning and production
· Produce high-quality and engaging social media content in support of our social media strategy and organisational objectives – recommending great cultural experiences in the UK, telling the story of our charitable purpose and building our brand in a range of formats
· Lead on organic social to support integrated or paid campaigns, for example new brand or ecommerce campaigns, in close collaboration with our Membership team
· Generate creative ideas to help grow our social audiences in response to trends, analytics and audience insight, in line with our organisational priorities and business objectives
· Brief creative concepts and requirements to agencies, influencers, designers and videographers to support social content and campaigns
· Upskill internal staff on content capture and creation
· Manage and prioritise requests from staff teams as part of the briefing process
Reporting and insight
· Analyse and report on the performance of social content and channels, and share key insights and performance updates with the wider team and key stakeholders
· Measure success against the social strategy's KPIs and organisational OKRs
· Act as source of advice and guidance on social media across the organisation
Moderation and community management
· Moderate social content created by internal teams, and train new contributors to support the content operating model
· Oversee monitoring and community moderation of Art Fund’s social media channels, including operational support on very occasional evenings and weekends (in exchange for Time Off in Lieu)
Relationship and risk management
· Manage relationships with agency partners to deliver content plans and associated assets to support BAU activities and campaigns
· Protect Art Fund's reputation on social media by ensuring social content is accurate, meets brand, style and tone of voice guidelines, and following escalation policies where necessary
· Support the delivery of crisis communications where necessary
Other:
· To work within Art Fund policies and procedures including, but not limited to, health and safety, data protection, sustainability, procurement, AI, technology and equality, diversity and inclusion
· To actively participate in the wider life of the Art Fund
· To undertake other duties as requested by the Art Fund from time to time

Knowledge
· A strong understanding of what makes compelling social and online content
· An up-to-date knowledge social media trends and best practice
· Good knowledge of social media management and analytics tools
· Experience using Sprout Social and Google Analytics
Skills
· Copywriting, copyediting, proofreading and English language skills
· Ability to connect and engage with audiences via social media
· Ability to create compelling video and image assets for social
· Metrics, audience insight and data analysis
· Experience using Photoshop / Creative Cloud / Canva / Sprout Social / Trello Project Management tools / MS Office
Experience
· Proven experience of managing social channels for a brand or organisation
· Good experience of developing and implementing social media strategies
· Good experience of content creation for social channels
· Experience optimising communications with audiences on social media
· Experience of leading social media marketing campaigns
· Experience of commissioning and editing film and audio content, especially for social use
· Experience of managing external agencies and suppliers
· Experience of working with creators and influencers to boost the reach and effectiveness of social media campaigns
· Experience working in the non-profit, heritage, arts or culture sectors
· Experience of providing internal training or upskilling colleagues
· Experience of fundraising and e-commerce on social media
