Location: TortureID does not have an office base. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently from home most of the time, with some travel to meetings and events within the UK, particularly in Yorkshire and the North West.

Temporary: The post is for 12 months, although we plan to extend the role, and/or increase the hours if we are able to secure additional funding.

Working hours: Part time, 21 hours a week 

Salary: £35,411 (pro rata)

    TortureID (TID) is a small, medical, human rights charity based in West Yorkshire responding to the needs of people who are seeking asylum in the UK and who report torture and other forms of human rights abuses. We aim for everyone in this situation to have timely access to a free, health assessment that can identify and document the health consequences of abuse, and through this support their rehabilitation.

    We are the only NGO in the UK providing this service. We are looking for a Development Manager to lead TortureID into the next stage of its organisational development. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and dynamic charity, operating across the asylum and health sectors, at a key time in its history. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a vital role in helping TortureID expand its impact and reach.

    This is a new post and the successful candidate will work directly with the Board of Trustees and in collaboration with our Lead Doctor, to support the delivery of TortureID’s strategic priorities and mission.
