The role
Part of the Income and Partnerships team, the Bids and Tenders Lead is a new and exciting role at Migrant Help. You will Work with the Business Development Manager (BDM), Bids and Tenders, and in collaboration with colleagues across the charity, the role will provide critical support in identifying, developing, and submitting high-quality bid and tender applications.

Role responsibilities
Write robust and compelling content for funding applications and propositions for high value grants to support the charity’s income strategy for the benefit of our clients.
Work closely with the BDM Bids & Tenders, the BDM: Resettlement and the Bids and Tenders Coordinator, to ensure strong project management for bid responses.
Lead on the development of applications for funding with input from subject matter experts and other colleagues, whilst ensuring the charity’s bid procedure is followed.
Oversee research, monitoring and maintenance of the bids and tenders long-term pipeline to ensure a proactive response to funding opportunities from local authorities, and statutory grant awarding organisations. This includes opportunities for Migrant Help to prime, be a sub-contractor or join a framework agreement.
Keep abreast of changes to the funding sector and develop an understanding of how this impacts the charity.
Lead on the development of cases for support for priority thematic areas for bids and tenders.
Work with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure a strong library of social value case studies and other evidence to support fundraising objectives.
Oversee development of the bid library, ensuring the information is regularly updated and reviewed.
Gather accurate impact / evaluation reports in line with funding requirements and timeframes.
Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned within the post-holder’s competency
Ad hoc support to colleagues working on trusts and foundations proposals during busy time.
The experience and skills you need
Demonstrable experience of bid writing
Demonstrable experience of pipeline research and management
Experience of coordinating and delivering on multiple projects at once
Ability to supervise and provide constructive feedback to staff
Ability to absorb complex written information and communicate effectively
Presentation skills with the ability to make briefing sessions interactive
