Working hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week

Salary: £58,308.29

  • We are looking for a People & Development Partner to join our collaborative People team. The role partners closely with senior managers to identify and deliver their people needs, working as a trusted partner, the role provides expert advice and guidance, supporting senior leaders to deliver their people priorities. The People & Development Partner plays a key role in driving organisational change, enhancing the employee experience, and leading people-focused initiatives that enable the organisation to achieve its strategic objective.  As a senior team member, the postholder will work with the Director of People to help shape and deliver the People strategy and associated change programmes.

    About you

    You will …

    -        Be an experience People professional with an excellent understanding of employment law, employee experience and engagement best practice and experience of contributing of organisational development.

    -        Have experience of working with senior leaders to shape and deliver people solutions.

    -        Have commitment to service excellence and continuous service improvement.

    -        Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships

    -        A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    Key Responsibilities….

    Strategic

    1.      Delivering the objectives of the people strategy with responsibility for developing and implementing projects and managing these from concept to completion

    2.      Supporting the identification of strategic people issues in partnership with people managers and supporting them to resolve these matters effectively whilst reducing business risk.

    Operational

    3.      Collaborating with people managers to deliver effective people solutions to business challenges.

    4.      Contributing to the workforce planning activity and taking responsibility for its implementation, ensuring the right levels of people resource in the right places at the right time.

    5.      Maximising employee engagement and productivity through people engagement activity.

    6.      Strengthening the employee experience at each touch point of the employee lifecycle.

    7.      Provide expert advice and guidance and practical support on a range of complex people related issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure as well as ensuring a consistent approach

    Leadership

    8.      Taking a proactive approach to diversity and inclusion, promotion and role modelling of values and positive behaviours and initiatives to support the health and wellbeing of all employees.

    9.      Coach, support, mentor and challenge people managers to empower and lead their teams effectively and deliver key business deliverables/requirements

    Other

    10.   Undertake tasks that from time to time may be allocated to the post holder that are appropriate to the level/grade of the job.

    11.   Comply with all relevant Skills for Care policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection etc.

     

     

     

     

    What you will bring….

    Required Experience 

    ·       Significant experience operating within a business partnering role.  

    ·       Experience of facilitating organisational change programmes.

    ·       Experience in the effective design and implementation of people and organisational development strategies.

    ·       Experience of managing change programmes using knowledge and expertise to support the scoping, planning and delivery of change initiatives.

     

    Required Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

    ·       Highly credible, able to gain the trust and confidence of key stakeholders.

    ·       The ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.

    ·       Ability to take a broad view of organisational issues and influence people decisions and recognise the implications of these.

    ·       Sound employment law knowledge and understanding and application of current and emerging best practice.

    ·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

    ·       Strong analytical/problem solving skills

    Desired

    ·       Relevant CIPD qualification
