We are looking for a new Team Assistant who will work across all our projects. We’re looking for someone who embodies the joy and optimism that we bring to our work. However, for this role, you will mainly focus on Crafting Connections, our arts & crafts project that creates friendships between children and older people via the post - so you’ll need to be equal parts creative and organised!
Crafting Connections is smaller by comparison to our other projects, but it's equally as important. For those that take part in the project, receiving art work from friends outside of the home helps them feel better connected to the outside world and less lonely as a result. We are looking for someone who can take this on and help it reach its full potential.
Alongside this you will provide hands-on administrative business function support to the team as we grow and expand. You’ll be working closely with all areas of the team to ensure that our charity operates smoothly and efficiently.
Day to day tasks might include:Sorting post, ordering supplies and managing the distribution of monthly packs for our Crafting Connections project
Communicating with care home staff and participants - ensuring all artworks are received on time so that no one is left feeling disappointed
Growing the offer - seeking opportunities and finding new partners and parents to be part of the Intergenerational joy that Crafting Connections delivers
Coming up with creative ideas for the packs, thinking about themes, arts & craft activities and more
Supporting the team with office management tasks, such as fire alarm testing, liaising with our landlord and ensuring our office supplies are fully-stocked including the first aid kit.
General office administration, such as data entry, letter writing and managing our digital filing system
Gathering and organising information for reports and presentations
Support in planning events/activities - from researching ideas and promotion to execution and evaluation
