    The Role

    We’re looking for a part-time Animal Welfare Support Officer with a genuine passion for helping

    animals to join our animal welfare team.

    You’ll support our mission and work alongside our Animal Welfare Officers to ensure high

    standards of care and compliance with RSPCA policies and legislation.

    This varied and rewarding role offers flexibility, with the autonomy to manage your own schedule

    based on the needs of the branch.

    About Us

    RSPCA South West London branch is an independently registered charity based in Wandsworth,

    SW18.

    Our mission is to make sure that all animals have a good life, by rescuing and caring for those in

    need, by speaking on behalf of all animals and by inspiring everyone to treat them with compassion

    and respect.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    Operational Support: Support the existing Animal Welfare Officers with the rescue,

    rehabilitation and rehoming of animals and day-to-day admin.

    Public services and outreach: Oversee the branch's public financial assistance schemes and

    foodbank partnerships, reporting activity to the branch.

    General Admin: Respond promptly to phone and email queries and provide ad-hoc cover of

    other welfare activities during staff absences.

    Logistical support: Transport animals including wildlife, deliver supplies to foster homes and

    foodbank partners and collect donations.

    Promote our mission: Act as an ambassador for animal welfare and promote the mission and

    work of the RSPCA and our branch.

    You’ll Bring

    ● Experience in the animal welfare sector or a background in welfare-related work.

    ● Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the RSPCA’s mission.

    ● A full UK driving licence and able to travel regularly around London and the branch area.

    ● Excellent organisational skills, adaptability, and a proactive, can-do attitude.

    ● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    ● GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent functional skills).
