Location: Home based with occasional travel to events and meetings in the Southeast
Working hours: Part time, 20-25 hours a week (ideally, spread over Monday-Friday, but can be flexible)

Job Purpose
To support the Events Team at Action Medical Research. Helping deliver inspiring and impactful fundraising events and engaging with supporters throughout the busy events season. Action Events raise vital funds to support research that saves and changes the lives of babies and children. This role will be the first point of contact for many event participants, playing a key part in delivering an excellent supporter experience across all Action Events. The postholder will support fundraising activity, carry out essential administrative tasks, and help guide supporters through their fundraising journeys from sign-up to event day and beyond.
Main tasks:
1. To be the first point of contact for event enquiries and queries, delivering excellent supporter care for people who wish to fundraise for Action Medical Research through the events programme.
2. To support the team in carrying out ‘keeping in touch’ calls and providing regular contact with participants to offer fundraising guidance, minimise drop outs and to maximise participant value.
3. To support delivery of plans and tasks for Action events as required helping meet and exceed fundraising targets.
4. To support the Race the Sun series, including liaising with participants and maximising fundraising.
5. To manage stock and materials orders for the Events Team.
6. To keep the Events Team Just Giving records up to date.
7. To keep the Raisers Edge database and registration system up to date for all participants, including administering event refunds, withdrawals and transfers.
8. To create and deliver content for social media, email supporter journeys and website updates.
9. Other administrative tasks as required, such as desk research and local marketing.

Person specification
Skills
1. Good customer service skills particularly on the telephone.
2. Well organised with ability to produce accurate work and meet timelines.
3. A strong communicator, in writing and orally.
4. IT literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, experience in digital work/social media, and confident using databases.
5. Proactive and able to use own initiative when necessary.
6. A keen eye for detail and creating content.
7. Good team player.
Experience
1. Experience of working in a team.
2. Experience of organising and prioritising a varied workload.
3. Experience of personally fundraising or taking part in sporting/active events is desirable.
Education
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
