Role Overview
The SMM Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy for Hungry Minds and selected client projects. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creative direction, analytical skills, and deep understanding of how content performs across platforms.
You will shape brand narratives, manage content funnels, and ensure our social presence is consistent, engaging, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall social media strategy for Hungry Minds and client accounts.
Analyze audience behavior, competitors, and platform trends to identify growth opportunities.
Build content funnels aimed at engagement, reach, and conversion.
Create and oversee content plans, posting calendars, and campaign concepts.
Define and maintain brand tone of voice across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X).
Collaborate with designers, copywriters, videographers, and performance specialists.
Set measurable KPIs and monitor results—reach, ER, follower growth, lead generation.
Optimize strategy based on analytics and performance insights.
Manage influencer partnerships, collaborations, and special social media projects.
Ensure consistency of visual style and content quality.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in SMM strategy or digital marketing roles.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
Experience building SMM strategies from scratch.
Ability to analyze metrics, form hypotheses, and optimize content performance.
Creative mindset with strong storytelling and brand-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and project management capabilities.
Experience working with creative teams and managing content production.
English — upper-intermediate or higher.
Nice to Have
Experience in performance marketing or paid social.
Experience with influencer marketing campaigns.
Knowledge of digital analytics tools (Meta Analytics, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics).
Background in agency or creative studio environment.
