Childminding Quality Improvement Partner (Cambridgeshire)

Location: Home-based in Cambridgeshire

Temporary: Fixed-Term contract from 1st April 2026 – 31st March 2027 with possible extension (subject to successful funding from April 2027)

Working hours: 18 hours per week

Salary: £13,487.15 per annum (£26,225 FTE)

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Recruitment, development, quality improvement and sustainability of registered childminders and home based childcare providers

    • Provide advice, guidance, information and support to new and existing childminders and home-based child carers on all aspects of providing a quality childcare service.

    • Develop and implement local recruitment and retention initiatives

    • Identify training needs of childminders and home-based child carers, plan and deliver appropriate training to support continuous professional development and quality improvement

    • Support and challenge childminders to continually improve the quality of their practice and implement quality improvement regimes.

    • Develop and promote childminding and peer support groups

    • Support integration of registered childminders and home-based child carers with local childcare services.

    • Establish and develop effective working relationships and partnerships with relevant agencies to raise the profile of registered childminding and home-based childcare.

    • Encourage, enable and support local volunteers in the promotion of the work of Coram PACEY

    2. Monitor, evaluate and report on Childminding Support in line with business and project objectives.

    • Provide written reports and statistical information to evidence, customer satisfaction, effectiveness and impact of service delivery

    • Maintain accurate financial records and comply with Coram PACEY financial policies and procedures.

    3. Network building and local intelligence gathering

    • Promote Coram PACEY membership, products and services and support delivery of Coram PACEY strategic plan within designated area

    • Advise line manager of business development opportunities within existing services or in adjacent areas

    • Ensure that business opportunities support the strategic direction of Coram PACEY

    4. General

    • Any other duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post, that are required to deliver the job’s key responsibilities

    • Work within organisational policies, code of conduct and practices
