Employer: School Jotter

Location: Remote / Work from Home

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 depending on experience

We’re now looking for a talented SEO Specialist to join our growing marketing and digital team. You’ll help drive online visibility for School Jotter and our suite of EdTech solutions — ensuring schools find us when searching for websites, compliance tools, and digital learning platforms.

Your mission? Increase our search visibility, grow organic traffic, and convert more schools into happy long-term customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute SEO strategies to increase organic visibility across Google and Bing.

    • Conduct keyword research and on-page optimisation for landing pages, blog posts, and campaigns.

    • Audit and improve site performance, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO health.

    • Work closely with content creators and developers to implement SEO best practices.

    • Analyse and report on SEO performance, rankings, and conversion metrics.

    • Stay up to date with search engine algorithm updates and SEO trends.

    • Contribute ideas to improve School Jotter’s overall digital marketing and inbound strategy.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience managing SEO for websites or digital products.

    • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.

    • Confident using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog.

    • Ability to perform keyword research and create SEO content briefs.

    • Knowledge of HTML, metadata, and structured data markup.

    • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

    Desirable (But Not Essential)

    • Experience in the education or SaaS sectors.

    • Knowledge of content strategy, link-building campaigns, or local SEO.

    • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.

    • Understanding of accessibility, page speed optimisation, and schema markup.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive salary (£25,000 – £28,000 depending on experience).

    • Hybrid and remote working flexibility.

    • Opportunity to work on products used by thousands of schools across the UK.

    • Career progression, SEO training, and continuous learning opportunities.

    • A friendly, supportive, and collaborative team culture.
