  • About Charlie

We’re Charlie and we exist to Make Work Better. We do this by helping small businesses automate their HR tasks so that they can get the time, headspace and tools they need to build an engaged and high-performing team.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team – someone who can transform customer and market insights into clear, compelling initiatives that accelerate Charlie’s growth, improve product adoption and strengthen our value story.

Come on and join us to make work better!

What is a "Senior Product Marketing Manager Level 4.0-4.1"?

We have a career progression framework. IC1 is a junior product marketing manager, IC4 is a senior product marketing manager, and IC levels 2 and 3 cover that middle area.

    In this role you will:

    • Deeply understand and continuously research our customers, product and market, building structured ways to collect insights that guide strategy.

    • Define and own Charlie’s overarching product story.

    • Sharpen our differentiation to improve commercial performance (e.g. acquisition, churn, upsell).

    • Drive cross-functional alignment by championing the narrative and ensuring teams understand and act on market and customer insights.

    • Ensure that every product release has a clear, compelling and cohesive story that resonates internally and externally.
      Requirements.

    You must have:

    • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment.

    • Strong experience in product marketing with a track record of influencing acquisition, adoption, retention or upsell performance.

    • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — you simplify complex product ideas into clear, compelling narratives.

    • Demonstrated experience with insight-driven positioning, messaging and GTM planning.

    • Comfort working autonomously, and bringing clarity to ambiguity.

    • Strong strategic thinking — able to zoom out to the big picture and dive into details when needed.

    • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing other teams outside marketing.

    • A curious, insight-driven mindset, comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data.

Let us know if you have: (all of these are desirable, but none are required)

    • Experience working in HR tech or with small-business audiences.

    • A background in market research or competitive analysis.

    • Experience with multi-product or add-on ecosystems.

    • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Notion, Gong, Amplitude or similar.

We will still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the above requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them absolutely perfectly! This is a permanent full-time role. We cannot offer visa sponsorship and you must be able to work in the UK.
