This is a highly analytical and cross-functional role which will require you to work effectively across multiple teams to validate hypotheses and deliver performance-boosting initiatives across a portfolio of trips. This is not a technical product manager role.
You will need to be able to think both tactically as well as strategically, to support the achievement of short term targets alongside longer term considerations and aspirations. In line with our salary framework, the salary banding for this role is £65,000 - £71,000 (dependent on experience).
This is a remote-flexible role - in practice this means that we meet in person as a team every 6-8 weeks, and the rest of the time you can work remotely in the country the role is hired in. This is a UK based role and we aren't currently accepting applications outside of the UK.
Where you will spend your time:Tracking and analysing key performance metrics such as bookings, trip-fill and margin across the portfolio of trips, identifying and prioritising performance optimisation opportunities
Collaborating closely with internal teams such as Pricing, Growth and Demand, DMC (Destination Management Companies) to validate hypotheses and implement solutions to reduce risk and optimise performance
Conducting root cause analysis to understand under-performing trips using a combination of internal data as well as external market and competitor insights
Using historical data and other available information to forecast the required supply for trips on an ongoing basis
Optimising the levers available to you to drive the best possible outcome for our product portfolio, such as pricing, supply management, email campaigns and website merchandising
What we’d love to see from you:You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an analytical and/or strategic capacity with a track record of having created clear business impact. Having actual experience in managing a portfolio of products can also be helpful.
You’re highly proficient in data analysis - advanced modelling skills are a must, and if you know Python or SQL, even better!
You’re a strong critical thinker and have the ability to analyse, investigate, question assumptions and problem solve to make informed decisions - you aren’t afraid to question the status quo
You excel at stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. You’re able to influence and get buy in from a range of different stakeholders (up to C-Suite) and know how to flex your approach where needed
You’re comfortable operating both strategically and operationally and are happy to flex between this - you’ll be able to take a holistic view on portfolio management whilst also deep diving into the specific factors that influence performance
We would like you to have at least some experience in scrappy, fast moving start up environments
