Are you an experienced administrator looking for a role where your skills can make a real difference? RSPB Cymru is seeking a motivated and highly organised Senior Administrator to join our passionate team and support our work protecting nature across Wales.
We’re seeking someone with strong administrative experience who takes pride in being organised, reliable, and proactive. You’ll be comfortable working independently, managing your workload effectively, and picking up new processes quickly.

We welcome applicants based in Wales who can travel occasionally to our offices in North Wales (Anglesey) or South Wales (Cardiff). Those living locally will also have the opportunity to work from the office and support with on-site tasks such as handling post, assisting colleagues with queries, and providing cover in absence of the Office Manager.Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Proficient in Office 365, including calendar management and meeting coordination in Outlook, document creation and version control in Word, data management and Intermediate level formulas in Excel and presentations in PowerPoint.
Proficient in document management and team collaboration via SharePoint and OneDrive with proven capability in organising filing systems and the ability to train and mentor others on these platforms.
Adept at balancing competing demands and delegating responsibilities to maintain consistent productivity under pressure.
Proactive approach to problem solving - able to identify issues and support resolution.
Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email, online or in person.
Experience of provide a dedicated administrative support service to senior individuals or management teams including general admin tasks, arranging travel, booking accommodation, expenses and budget support and assisting with event-related communications
Able to identify and act on opportunities for continually improving ways of working to enhance organisational efficiency.
Able to take meeting notes and minutes clearly and concisely.
Support our Communications team, overseeing staff requests for Welsh translations. You don’t need to be a Welsh speaker-translations are managed externally-but being able to speak Welsh is a bonus. You’ll share this responsibility with another admin colleague who will support you from day one.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, fixed term contract until the 31st of March 2027.
