To build a fair education for all, we need to unlock the potential in all children – not just some. Together, we’re making it happen. Every day, our work takes us closer to a better future. But we need to do more. It’s a big challenge – and we need your help to take it on.
As a Selection Manager, you’ll be part of a team designing and delivering best-in-class assessment models that select for potential and long-term impact, whilst consistently delivering a first-class candidate experience across a high-volume, demanding pipeline. The Selection Manager is responsible for managing complex, high-volume pipeline processes and operations, leading a high-performing team in robust, inclusive and sector-leading selection for Teach First’s programmes.
Are you able to Manage a complex, fast-changing pipeline, using projections and live data to map resource, prioritise candidate pools, manage budget, and maximise efficiency and throughput as well as overseeing the effective running of selection operations and processes – including the screening of applications to Teach First programmes, the assessment of candidates at Development Centre, and the scheduling of candidates?
Are you able to Monitor and analyse performance trends at all stages of the selection process, providing regular reporting and leading course-correction as required?
Can you lead a team of officers and coordinators to be a high-performing unit, consistently delivering a best-in-class candidate experience? As well as leading post-exercise discussions to ensure decision-making on candidate outcomes is fair, robust and inclusive; acting as point of escalation for eligibility, conflicts, etc?
Are you able to Curate, maintain and update selection materials, including redesigning parts of the process as required, and leading regular training with assessors as well as manage relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers as required?
Are you able to represent selection internally and externally, leading key cross-team and cross-directorate projects, whilst maintaining an awareness of market trends and supporting a culture of continuous evolution and innovation?
Are you able to embed equality, diversity and inclusion in your work, ensuring our selection processes are fair, unbiased and champion communities traditionally underrepresented in education?
Can you lead your team in cross-directorate and cross-organisation support as required, including support to Admissions on candidate onboarding and compliance, support with placement activity, attending recruitment events, etc?
Yes, to the above? Then we want to hear from you. You might be our next Selection Manager!
