Location: Primarily home-based, with regular all-staff away days in Cambridgeshire, and travel across the UK as required for in-person fieldwork, project meetings and events.
Working hours: 32 hours within a 4-day working week. We are happy to discuss and explore flexible options and job share opportunities.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Research & Policy Officer to join the Turning the Tide team at The Kite Trust, undertaking research, youth engagement and policy and advocacy work to dismantle the barriers facing LGBTQ+ young people.
Turning the Tide is a new project led by The Kite Trust, undertaking activities including research, youth voice, training, capacity building, and policy and advocacy work, to dismantle the barriers that can make it difficult for LGBTQ+ young people to thrive. The Research & Policy Officer will play a key role in the project, leading evaluation and research activities to understand the impact of Turning the Tide, conducting primary research to build the evidence base on LGBTQ+ young people’s needs and experiences, and advocating for the rights of LGBTQ+ young people locally and nationally in policy and practice. The Policy and Research officer will also support monitoring and evaluation activities across The Kite Trust, working closely with colleagues to ensure relevant data is gathered and used effectively to understand the impact of our work and where we could make improvements.
