Come work with us to deliver the development phase of our exciting, new heritage orchard programme in Wales.
We’re recruiting for an Orchard Heritage Programme Development Manager for our Achub Ein Treftadaeth Berllan (Save Our Orchard Heritage) programme, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
This programme sets out to protect and promote our Welsh orchard heritage and histories, such as local fruit varieties, veteran fruit trees, and traditional orchard skills.
The successful applicant will project manage the development phase of this programme. This will involve bringing together partner organisations, managing the project plan and budget, developing the full funding bid for the National Lottery Heritage Fund and feeding learnings from pilot activities into the delivery phase project plans.
We are looking for someone with a passion for Welsh heritage orchards and their transformational benefits. Someone who enjoys developing relationships with communities, funders, and partners, and who can manage projects within budget and to deadline.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a truly rewarding community-based development role.
It is a three day-a-week, 18 month fixed-term post for the programme’s development phase, with expectation of the role being extended for further three years of project delivery, subject to funding approval.
Achub Ein Treftadaeth Berllan is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we will be able to protect and promote our Welsh orchard heritage: the forgotten local fruit varieties that tell us so much about the history of Wales and the neglected ancient trees that house critically endangered species.
Closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 22 November and we hope to hold interviews on Thursday 3 December.
