Working hours: Full time, 36.25 hours per week

Salary: £38,864.80 - £52,520.00 plus Office at Home Allowance - £312 per annum

    This role is a crucial part of our Business Services Programme Team, contributing to the transformation work that helps us achieve our mission. From providing qualitative and quantitative data to support systems optimisation, to capturing end to end processes to identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement, you'll play a key role in keeping our change initiatives focused, collaborative, and outcome-driven, so we can keep improving the way we work for the children and families who rely on us. 

     

    What You'll Be Doing 

    You'll provide vital day-to-day coordination across a range of transformation projects, helping ensure delivery stays on track, risks are flagged early, and progress is visible.  

     

    Your responsibilities will include: 

    • Leading business analysis for specified products, processes and services, including drafting functional specifications and as-is and to-be process flows  

    • Managing a pipeline of cross-departmental process mapping, customer journey mapping and analyses of future state value  

    • Building and managing stakeholder relationships to ensure data accuracy, engagement 

    • Collaborating with colleagues across the charity to develop and share best practice  

    • Supporting the implementation of Barnardo's benefits management framework, promoting consistency of approach and embedding charity-wide 

     

    You'll work with teams from People & Culture, Finance, Digital, and beyond -supporting work that has real impact across the charity. 

     

    This is a technical but people-focused role that allows for autonomy, precision, and real impact. You'll be part of a welcoming, committed team that shares learning, supports wellbeing, and is united in a clear mission: helping children and young people feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful – and have somewhere they feel they belong. 

     

    You will be expected to attend a minimum of 8 in-person meetings per year, as well as periodic attendance at wider team meetings, workshops or training events which may take place at various locations. 

     

    What We're Looking For 

     

    We're looking for someone who is: 

    • Experienced in business analysis including process mapping, customer journey mapping and business requirements gathering including delivering functional specifications 

    • A strong and positive communicator, who is comfortable working across a range of teams and stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners 

    • Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

    • Self-directed, with demonstrable organisation and problem-solving skills 

    • Values-led, inclusive, committed to continuous improvement and delivering sustainable solutions 

    • Familiar with project tools like SharePoint, Trello, or Microsoft Project (desirable)
