We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Academic Registry team as a Registry Officer (Committees). This role is central to the smooth and effective operation of our academic governance, providing high-quality administrative support to committees and boards, ensuring compliance with academic regulations, and maintaining the integrity of university processes.
This is a full-time fixed term position for 12 months (covering maternity leave), working 35 hours per week where you will work fully remotely from a home-based location within the UK.
As our Registry Officer (Committees), you will:
Provide administrative support to Academic Board Committee meetings, , taking high-quality, detailed minutes, monitoring follow-up actions and supporting processes to secure committee membership and delivery of effectiveness reviews.Provide support to Committee Secretaries and Chairs, including preparing and circulating papers and maintaining accurate filing systems.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, offering advice on internal policies and procedures related to committee functions.
Maintain an accurate filing system for minutes, action logs and other paperwork evidencing academic governance activities.
Assist in delivering inductions for new committee members and support team-wide administrative needs.
Is this you?
Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience.
Experienced in a Higher Education environment, with a strong background in committee servicing and minute-taking.
Meticulous with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident using MS Office (especially Word and Excel) and able to manage multiple tasks with precision and autonomy.
Able to work flexibly, independently, and with a high level of confidentiality and impartiality.
