We are recruiting experienced Network Engineers to support a major infrastructure patching and vulnerability remediation programme within a large, business-critical environment.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on implementing network changes, upgrades and patching during planned overnight maintenance windows.
Key Responsibilities
Execute network patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation activities.
Implement approved infrastructure changes during overnight maintenance windows.
Perform pre- and post-change checks and validation testing.
Troubleshoot issues arising from patching and upgrades.
Maintain change records and handover documentation.
Essential Skills
Strong enterprise networking experience, particularly Cisco routing and switching.
Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco Nexus and Cisco UCS.
Proven experience implementing changes and upgrades in live production environments.
Understanding of ITIL change management and rollback procedures.
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Experience within utilities, energy or critical infrastructure environments would be advantageous, as would Cisco certifications.
Important: This is a nights-only contract, expected to follow a 4-on/4-off shift pattern. The role is fully remote within the UK and inside IR35, with payment through an umbrella company.
