Marketing and Communications Manager (West London)

Location: Our office is based in White City and we support hybrid-working. We have a fortnightly mandatory office day , plus some further office-based work and attendance at events w ill be required.
Working hours: full time (part-time may be considered)
Salary: £40,891 per annum

About the role
You will bring clarity, consistency and impact to marketing and communications across the charity. Your focus will be to raise our profile, tell our story, and articulate our impact, to help to build meaningful relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders. You will take a joined-up approach across digital, media, events and stakeholder communications , ensuring our brand is consistently represented, and our work reaches and engages the right audiences.
Marketing
• Lead data-driven, digital and joined-up marketing strateg ies across social media, web site and email.
• Create and manage consistent, high-quality social media content (including for LinkedIn and Instagram) to grow our audience, strengthen our brand, and drive engagement.
• Manage and continuously improve our website and digital platforms, ensuring they are accessible, up-to-date and effective.
• Help to p lan and deliver integrated campaigns, including promoting and driving engagement in the West London Youth Employment Roadmap and other influen tial reports and publications.
• Work with senior leaders to develop, engage and utilise a network of high-profile Ambassadors and advocates.
Communications
• Deliver clear, consistent and engaging communications to partners, businesses, schools and volunteers, including regular e-newsletters.
• Establish and manage relationships with local and national media , to increase visibility and influence.
• Research, write and distribute press releases to support campaigns, partnerships and programme s.
• Develop compelling storytelling and case studies to showcase impact, partnerships and success , including through the submission of high-quality applications to local and national Awards.
Brand Management
• Protect and maintain our brand, ensuring consistency in visual identity, tone and messaging.
• Support colleagues to produce exceptionally high-quality and on-brand materials across all outputs.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and evolve our brand and messaging.
• Ensure the design and publication of consistent and accessible impact and learning report s.
Engaging and convening partners
• Collaborate across the organisation to develop donor-facing materials and messaging.
• Work with the wider team to plan and deliver events that engage and convene partners and stakeholders, including the Annual Youth Careers Awards and programme launches.
• Support the development and delivery of events for training, networking and stakeholder engagement.
Other
• Develop and maintain effective systems and processes for internal and external communications.
• Contribute to organisational learning through insight, feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues, employers, schools and volunteers .
• Represent the organisation professionally with all stakeholders, including beneficiaries and funders.
• Adhere to all organisational policies, including safeguarding and code of conduct.
• Support your growth and professional improvement by taking part in development opportunities .
Person Specification Experience
• A track record (over three years) of successfully delivering in a similar or related role.
• Delivery of high quality, effective communications across digital and print channels.
• Creation of compelling and accessible digital and print resources and material s.
• Management of website content and social media channels, implementing strategies and approaches to raise profiles and boost engagement .
• Engagement and liaison with local and nation al media publications.
• Writing, editing and proofreading to a very high standard.
• Management and planning of stakeholder engagement events and activities .
• Management of high-profile Ambassadors and advocates (desirable).
• Implementation of campaigns , to drive engagement and system s change (desirable).
• Working within the education , charities and/or the voluntary youth sector (desirable).
Skills
• Excellent digital and design skills, with the ability to create compelling, professional and accessible resources, reports and promotional materials.
• Engaging written communication skills, with the ability to adapt language and messaging to different platforms and audiences.
• A flexible approach with the ability to identify the best social, digital and print channels for a wide variety of messaging, and monitoring effectiveness through accessing, collating and analysing data.
• Creativity with the ability to make connections between themes and pull together engaging content to feed into communications.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to speak confidently with young people, professionals, funders and senior business stakeholders.
• Highly organised, with an attention to detail, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Attitude
