Lead Generation Officer

Location: Hybrid working (Business Disability Forum, Dowgate Hill House, 14-16 Dowgate Hill, London, England, EC4R 2SU ). Fully Remote option available.

Working hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday week; 35 hours per week although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options with suitable candidates.

Salary: £31,000pa

    The Lead Generation Officer will support the Member Development Manager (MDM) by carrying out Lead generation opportunities via research - acquire relevant data and uploading it into our CRM.  The role will also involve direct approaches to potential members via phone, email and social media platforms such as LinkedIn.

    Key tasks and responsibilities:

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Lead Generation: Making outbound calls, e-mails and social media approaches to potential members to identify leads, generate interest, and provide membership information.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Market Research: Gathering information about potential members needs, preferences, and other membership trends through surveys and feedback.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Customer Engagement: Building relationships with potential members, providing product information, and answering questions.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Appointment Scheduling: Scheduling follow-up appointments for potential membership engagement with internal colleagues.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of calls, leads, and customer interactions via our Salesforce CRM.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Follow-up: Following up with leads and potential membership to nurture relationships and generate membership interest.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       Maintain a pipeline of prospects: To evaluate the success of different approaches and incorporate this knowledge into our future approach to recruitment and retention.

    ·       To identify external events/opportunities to promote membership and to flag these to the events and marketing teams as appropriate.

    ·       To take part and contribute insight/trends in the Comms/Marketing – Membership Recruitment quarterly meetings to identify potential topical hooks to sell membership and to ensure that opportunities to tie in with the team are maximised both in terms of individual companies and broader sector trends.

    ·       To liaise with the Business Administrative Assistant to capture insights and likely membership hooks on target sectors.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       To keep updated on external developments and news in the disability arena to ensure that conversations with prospective members are up to date and relevant.

    ‍ ‍

    ·       To identify other routes to market e.g. Disability Confident businesses and work with all teams as relevant to reach and target them.

    ‍ ‍·       To support the process of setting up member recruitment appointments for the Member Development Manager to arrange.

    ·       To monitor progress of prospects to ensure all prospective members are followed up.

    ·       To flag to other teams where non-member (e.g. resources) sales may be possible.

    ·       To continually review the success of our lead generation process to maximise impact and reach.

    ·       Build productive and professional working relationships internally with BDF staff, and externally with Members, Partners, and other stakeholders.

    ·       Take part in own continuous improvements activities as required.

    ·       Update and maintain accurate records on the CRM (Salesforce).

    ·       Be familiar with and at all times adhere to BDF policies, procedures and values, as set out in the Staff Handbook.

    ·       Promote and comply with BDF policies on equality and diversity both in the delivery of services and in working relationships and treatment of others.

    ·       Any other duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility. Any changes will be made in consultation with the post holder.
