Magic Breakfast’s mission is to champion and provide nourishing breakfasts that help children and young people learn and thrive. The latest research suggests that 2.7 million children are at risk of hunger, meaning one in five children don’t have enough to eat. When a child is too hungry to learn, they struggle to concentrate, absorb information, and manage their emotions, causing them to fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast makes a difference to 350,000 children and young people every school day, providing a nutritious and filling breakfast each school morning. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.
We are now at an exciting point in our journey as we launch Nourishing Futures, our long-term strategy, which capitalises on market changes and government commitments to scale our work, while redefining breakfast spaces not just as places to eat, but as places to thrive.
JOB PURPOSE
Corporate partnerships at Magic Breakfast have grown significantly in the past couple of years, and we have worked hard to create multi-layered and mutually beneficial partnerships that go beyond financial support. With significant corporate supporters like Deutsche Bank, Heinz, Kellogg’s, Arla and many others, this is an exciting time to join Magic Breakfast and take ownership of a small portfolio of partners and support the team’s objectives.
As the Corporate Partnerships Executive, you will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team and wider organisation to help the charity deliver against our ambitious fundraising targets. This exciting and diverse role is perfect for someone looking to gain or build on previous experience in corporate fundraising or other income streams, whether from the charity or corporate sector. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of partnerships each up to £30k p/a, and support other team members with the delivery of larger scale, strategic partnership, by coordinating employee fundraising, volunteering and other engagement activities.
The role will also involve delivering some administrative tasks and projects on behalf of the Corporate Partnerships Team and wider Fundraising and Development Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about fundraising, relationship management and the impact of fuel for learning on children and young people.
The role involves managing your portfolio of accounts, ensuring opportunities are maximised, targets are met, and partners are supported. Where appropriate, you will support Managers on key activities in their partnerships to build your exposure to high level, strategic partnerships. Along with the rest of the team you will play a crucial role in helping to secure new corporate partnerships. Team support is the final vital component of this role: reconciling income, producing reports, fundraising materials, planning events and maintaining records on Salesforce all sit in this role.
Building excellent working relationships with colleagues, partners and prospects is also essential to this role, as is the ability to manage a busy workload with many competing priorities.
