The Role
As an Human Resources Skills Coach, you’ll support a caseload of apprentices, guiding them through their learning journey and helping them achieve their professional and apprenticeship outcomes.
You’ll work closely with learners and employers, delivering coaching, assessment, and structured support aligned to apprenticeship standards and quality expectations.
This is a fully remote role, with occasional virtual delivery and meetings.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out initial skills assessments and skills radar calls to establish learner starting points
Deliver inductions and complete learner sign-up documentation
Coach apprentices through monthly progress reviews (remote and workplace-based)
Deliver group learning sessions aligned to the curriculum plan and Ofsted requirements
Support learners with queries, development needs, and portfolio building
Track and assess learner progress against milestones, KSBs, and qualification requirements
Contextualise learning to the apprentice’s job role and working environment
Support apprentices to gather appropriate evidence for End Point Assessment (EPA)
Coach learners through EPA preparation and readiness
Maintain accurate learner records, including off-the-job tracking
Escalate risks to learner progress in a timely and professional manner
Work collaboratively with employers, line managers, and internal teams
Attend team meetings, standardisation, and CPD sessions
What We’re Looking For
EssentialStrong occupational experience in the HR sector.
Relevant insurance qualification, such as:
Level 5 CIPD OR Relevant HR qualification
A genuine passion for developing people and sharing industry knowledge
Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills
Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office, virtual platforms)
Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working remotely
Commitment to continuous professional development
