In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting those values through people-focused activities across the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to leavers and everything in between. You’ll work closely with the Head of HR, Learning & Development Manager, and HR Advisor on key projects that help us deliver a more inclusive, agile, and engaging experience for everyone.
The Role
First point of contact for HR queries, offering helpful and timely responses and escalating when needed
Supporting recruitment activity across the business: taking job briefings, posting job adverts, coordinating interviews, conducting pre-screens, updating candidates, and maintaining recruitment systems.
Supporting new starters with onboarding, including offer letters, employment checks, and welcome processes.
Delivering excellent administrative aspects for all parts of the employee lifecycle including probations, leavers, references.
Using and developing HR systems (HRIS and ATS), suggesting improvements and ensuring they meet the needs of our teams.
Maintaining trackers, managing the shared HR inbox, and ensuring strong communication across the team
Assisting with reporting and audits by gathering accurate data and helping with funding submissions.
Supporting the delivery of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contributing to updates of HR policies and practices and ensuring communication is clear and accessible
Raising purchase orders and processing HR-related invoices.
Providing cover and general support across the HR team where required.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Educated to Level 2/GCSE standard or equivalent in Math and English to minimum grade C/4
Experience within an administrative background with HR knowledge or interest in the employee lifecycle
Experience with IT systems and databases, such as Sharepoint and Sage (or similar)
Experience at providing feedback, using tact and diplomacy
An effective communicator, with professional levels of both spoken and written English
Desire to provide the best experience to all customers internal and external
This is a varied role with the need to adapt to changing situations, so a flexible approach to tasks and hours is needed.
Professional and confident communicator with the ability to listen well and respond to the needs of key customers.
Effective problem solver, with the ability to act on own initiative and without supervision
Highly organised with an ability to manage multiple demands and prioritise appropriately
Desirable:
CIPD level 3 or working towards is ideal but not essential

25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays - increasing with length of service - Please note that for part-time roles, this will be pro-rated into an hours-based system
