Finance Project Manager (Yorkshire)

Location: Home based. Whilst this is a home-based opportunity, we are looking for someone around the Yorkshire area as there will be meetings in the Harrogate and Leeds offices on a regular basis. If you are slightly further afield but happy to travel to the area as required (about once every couple of weeks), do not hesitate to apply.

Temporary: This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover parental leave.

Working hours: Full time

Salary: up to £55k depending on experience.

  • Purpose of the Role

    Join our dynamic Financial Reporting team at Everywhen, where you'll play a key role in managing and coordinating the statutory account timetable across a fast-growing portfolio of over 140 entities. Reporting to the External Reporting Manager, this role offers the chance to lead critical audit processes and drive continuous improvement in a complex, acquisition-rich environment.

    What you will do

    While not exhaustive, your core duties will include:

    • Lead and coordinate external audits across the Everywhen platform

    • Act as the central liaison between auditors and finance teams

    • Manage audit and statutory accounts timetables, ensuring deadlines are met

    • Support finance teams with audit-related tasks and problem-solving

    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and risks

    • Champion best practices to streamline future audits

    • Oversee annual R&D tax claim coordination and identify new opportunities

    • Contribute to wider finance projects as needed

    Who we are looking for

    We are looking for someone who has/is:

    • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE with strong audit experience

    • Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP

    • Proven track record in statutory accounts and year-end audits

    • Project management experience in a financial control setting

    • Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not essential

    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

    • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives under pressure
