Role Outline:
The Digital Learning Manager is responsible for the ongoing development of our digital learning environment, ensuring it delivers an engaging and effective learning experience for colleagues and external learners.
The role combines learning technology expertise with instructional design capability, working closely with stakeholders across the business to translate learning requirements into effective digital learning solutions.
A key focus of the role is the continued development of our learning platform, ensuring it is configured, maintained and enhanced to support evolving business needs, learner journeys, reporting requirements and compliance obligations.
Working alongside a Digital Learning Consultant and L&D Apprentice, the post holder will provide leadership, coaching and technical expertise while driving continuous improvement across our digital learning offering.
What you'll be doing:
You will be the SME for the platform, leading the ongoing development, ensuring it aligns with organisational objectives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, developing sustainable and effective solutions that maximise platform functionality. Additionally, you will oversee system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution, working in partnership with suppliers and technical teams. The role will also involve managing the build and maintenance of the Health Partners Academy to support the Education and Training teams.
A key aspect of this role will involve designing and developing digital and blended learning programmes using instructional design best practices. You will work alongside subject matter experts to produce high-quality storyboards, scripts, and learning content, while also reviewing and updating existing materials to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
You will also take the lead on reporting and compliance responsibilities, managing year-end audit closure activities for the Clinical Governance Tool. This will include ensuring data integrity through reporting, data validation, anomaly resolution, and system backups. Monitoring engagement, completion, and compliance metrics will also be crucial, with insights and recommendations provided to drive improvement. Additionally, you will create both scheduled and ad-hoc learning analytics and compliance reports, ensuring all learning records remain accurate and effective.
Collaboration will be a key focus in this role, as you will work closely with the Digital Learning team to provide support to learners, administrators, and stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of any queries or system issues. You will also offer guidance and technical support to the Digital Learning Consultant and L&D Apprentice, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with expertise in managing and developing LMS platforms, ideally Totara, and a strong understanding of instructional design principles. An analytical mindset, with experience in reporting, data validation, and compliance monitoring, will be essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are also key to success in this role.
