You will help translate strategy into action by coordinating projects, workstreams and task‑and‑finish activity that deliver credible, high‑quality outcomes for and with fire and rescue services.
This is a varied and influential role that combines delivery management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and sector collaboration. While deep technical expertise is not required, you will bring digital curiosity, strong organisation and a digital‑first mindset, and an appreciation of how digital, data, technology and cyber enable sector reform and improved outcomes for communities.

You will:
Support the Head of DDaT and Strategic Leads in delivering the national digital, data, technology and cyber strategy and roadmap
Coordinate and support delivery of DDaT projects, workstreams and task‑and‑finish activity, working with subject matter experts and stakeholders
Develop and maintain delivery materials including business cases, project plans, progress reports and communications
Deputise for the Strategic Leads and Head of DDaT as required, representing DDaT at meetings and events
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across fire and rescue services, government, industry, academia and the wider public sector
Support delivery of national DDaT events including workshops, CPD sessions, forums and conferences
Coordinate risks, issues, actions and dependencies, ensuring clear mitigation and reporting
Support change management and promote adoption of digital solutions across the sector
Use Microsoft 365 tools (including Power Automate and Power BI) to support delivery, insight and reporting
Contribute to evaluation, lessons learned and continuous improvement activity
Support coordination of the sector’s response to cyber threats where required
Who we are looking for:
You will bring:
Significant experience in a delivery, project coordination or programme support role (ideally within digital, data or technology)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience using Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, and collaborative tools (experience of Power Automate and Power BI is desirable)
Confidence working with stakeholders at different levels and from different organisations
A digital‑first mindset, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning and innovation
An understanding of the public sector and the challenges faced by fire and rescue services (desirable)
You will be proactive, detail‑focused, collaborative, and motivated by making a positive difference at a national level.
Behaviours and Values
You will:
Champion inclusion, equality and diversity
Act with integrity and professionalism
Take ownership of your work and learn from experience
Build trust and strong relationships
Be motivated by improving outcomes for communities and the fire and rescue sector
