Data Protection Officer
Lead Data Protection. Drive Compliance.
Are you experienced in data protection law and regulatory requirements? Have you got experience in operating within a multi site organisation?
We're currently seeking a Data Protection Officer to work proactively as the company's subject matter expert, promoting Data Protection best practice across our group.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to our Quality Assurance Director you will play a pivotal role ensuring we meet all regulatory and legal requirements for the holding and management of data and ensuring we effectively manage all associated risks.
You will lead the review, development and enhancement of all our policies and processes related to Data Protection to ensure our compliance with all relevant legislation, with operational requirements and company values.
Key to your role will be how you manage a range of relationships both internally and externally to ensure the best possible management of data throughout the group and how you identify and manage potential data and privacy risks and the actions required to address and manage these risks
Experience
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
Strong understanding of data protection law and regulatory requirements.
Experience of operating as a DPO; or holding a role within a larger Data Protection Team
Experience in assessing new legislation or other regulatory changes and making recommendations as necessary to ensure that risks are mitigated and ongoing compliance is maintained.
Experience of undertaking Data Processing Impact Assessments and Subject Access Requests and managing Data Breaches
Experience of working within education or with sensitive data is desirable
The ability to travel to Aurora services which are most easily accessed by car and may require overnight stays.
