You will be joining a respected social care charity that supports vulnerable individuals in navigating adult social care, community care, children's social care, and Mental Health Act processes. They are looking for someone who can join quickly and provide immediate support.
Your new role
You will take on an existing caseload, offering vital support to vulnerable clients seeking access to care, support services, and legal entitlements. Your work will involve case preparation, advice work, liaising with external bodies, reviewing evidence, drafting documents, and helping progress matters efficiently. This is a temporary locum position, with the potential opportunity to remain longer-term.
What you'll need to succeedSignificant experience as a paralegal or caseworker within community care, adult social care, children's social care, or Mental Health Act work.
Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 and related social-care legal frameworks.
The ability to pick up a caseload immediately and work with minimal supervision.
Excellent organisational, client care, and communication skills, with the ability to support vulnerable people sensitively and effectively.
