Creative Content Officer

Employer: Another Way

Location: Remote, Cornwall-based preferred, with opportunities to travel throughout UK for events

Temporary: This role is 6 months fixed-term with rolling extension

Working hours: Part-time, 2.5 days (17 hours) per week, allocated flexibility

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 FTE (dependent upon experience)

  • Work for an ambitious youth-led environmental education charity by using your creative skills to help build a movement of young people making wide-spread change within their communities.  

    Within our fun and dynamic team, the Creative Content Officer plays a key role in crafting eye-catching visual media to grow our brand awareness and expand our digital community. You will use your storytelling expertise to create compelling narratives about Another Way’s work, particularly around our work with young people, to inspire individual and community change.

     

    Measured by the engagement, feedback, and growth of our digital community, your goal is to produce relevant communications content which remains consistent in style, voice, and messaging across all platforms and to support the Head of Communications with the development and implementation of creative social media campaigns.

     

    This position will report to and work in close partnership with the Head of Communications.

     

    Role Responsibilities

    Content Creation

    •        Use design skills to create on-trend, eye-catching visuals for use across Another Way’s social media channels

    •        Write engaging captions which inform followers about Another Way’s work and inspire individual and community action

    •        Work within the communications strategy to develop regular posts, stories, and reels which are consistent in messaging and relevant to each platform’s target audience

    •        Work with the Head of Communications to produce visual and written content for creative digital campaigns

    •        Work with the Science Communication Lead to ensure that all content is backed by the latest climate and environmental science

    •        Use storytelling skills to produce and edit videos for online platforms

    •        Support Another Way team members with graphic, poster, and resource creation as needed

    •        Oversee live social media coverage of Another Way events as needed

    Monitoring, Analytics, & Community Engagement

    •        Use platform analytics tools to deliver monthly performance reports

    •        Work with the Head of Communications to develop and implement strategies to improve community engagement and reach

    •        Monitor and return follower engagement across platforms

    •        Keep up-to-date with the latest climate, environment, and nature-based news and respond with high-quality content in a timely manner

    •        Identify and interact with environmental influencers for potential collaborations

     

    Candidate Requirements

    •                  Strong personal commitment to the values and objectives of Another Way

    •                  Knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) environmental issues and solutions

    •                  Excellent design, storytelling, and communication skills

    •                  Experience in photography, videography, and editing

    •                  Proven experience creating on-brand visuals across multiple social media channels

    •                  Experience in creating and delivering regular analytics reports

    •                  Ability to manage time effectively  Role Details

    •                  Remote, Cornwall-based preferred, with opportunities to travel throughout UK for events
