    Did you know that there are at least 20m people in the UK in vulnerable financial circumstances, who are poorly served or unfairly excluded from mainstream financial services?

    That’s nearly a third of all adults in the UK.

    We are Fair4All Finance. We are a not-for-profit organisation working with Financial Services providers to improve the financial wellbeing of people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services. 

    We are continuing our work following our latest round of funding, and as a result we are now seeking a Consumer Insights Analyst to play a central role in advancing our mission to improve financial inclusion for people in vulnerable circumstances.

    By generating, synthesising and communicating meaningful insights about customer experiences, you will influence the design of financial products, shape sector practices, and support policy and regulatory change.

    This role requires analytical curiosity, strong data storytelling skills, and the ability to translate evidence into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyse internal and external datasets to generate meaningful insights on financial vulnerability and customer experience.

    • Produce clear, high-quality outputs such as reports, slide decks and data visualisations tailored to different audiences.

    • Apply and champion Fair4All Finance’s segmentation model internally and with external partners.

    • Translate insights from pilots and propositions—such as the No Interest Loan Scheme—into recommendations that inform programme and policy development.

    • Tailor insights for audiences including regulators, policymakers, community finance providers and mainstream financial services.

    • Support management of external research partners, including writing briefs and reviewing outputs.

    • Contribute to developing analytical approaches, improving processes and ensuring research quality and consistency.

    • Build strong relationships across the organisation, supporting colleagues to use insight effectively in their work.

    Essential experience & qualifications:

    • Strong quantitative analysis skills and confidence working with large datasets.

    • Proven ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling insights through visualisation, narrative development and storytelling.

    • Proficiency in Excel and data visualisation, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, compelling insight.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Experience supporting or managing research projects end-to-end.

    • Exposure to working with external research partners, including supporting drafting of briefs and monitoring quality.

    • Ability to tailor insights for different audiences and collaborate across teams.

    Desirable experience

    • Familiarity with the UK financial services landscape or issues relating to financial vulnerability.

    • Experience with tools such as SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI or Flourish.

    • Experience interpreting or conducting qualitative research.

    • Knowledge of key sector datasets such as MaPS or FCA Financial Lives.

    Who are Fair4All Finance?

    We are a not-for-profit organisation working with Financial Services providers to improve the financial wellbeing of people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services. 

    Founded in 2019, we are funded from the Dormant Assets Scheme. The scheme is led by the financial industry and backed by the UK government. This makes it possible for money in dormant bank and building society accounts to be used to help good causes.
