We are looking for a senior, "highly visible" Business Development Lead to drive our UK partnership strategy. This is a pure "hunter" role for a resilient and target-driven self-starter and we offer a competitive reward package for the right person.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a senior individual contributor role where you’ll own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and pitching to building robust business cases and closing complex deals. You’ll be ready to hit the ground running with achievable targets, splitting your time between two key business areas:
Pinnacle Pet UK: Hunting and managing large, complex, white-label deals. You’ll work with our expert internal teams to shape strategy and manage the pitch.
Animal Friends (AFI): A fully self-sufficient role. You’ll hunt smaller, non-white-label deals, building your own pitch materials and storyboards from scratch.

What We Need From YouThis is a senior role and our non-negotiables are key to your success.
An Insurance Background (Essential): You must have experience in the insurance sector (pet insurance, brokerage, or underwriting is a huge plus).
Deep Commercial Acumen: You’re not just a salesperson. You deeply understand insurance dynamics, P&L, loss ratios, profit-share models and how to build a business case that holds up.
A Proven "Hunter" Track Record: You have extensive experience identifying, qualifying and closing complex, revenue-driving strategic partnerships.
Gravitas & Resilience: You are a "hungry" and diligent professional. You have the professionalism to engage senior stakeholders, challenge internal teams and "hold your own" in any negotiation.
A Collaborative Self-Starter: You are highly motivated and comfortable working autonomously, but you’re also a team player who sees the bigger picture.
