  • Join us as an International Student Advisor, working as part of the Money, Accommodation and International Student Advice team. This is a fixed term, full-time position until the end of November 2026. It is a hybrid role, working mostly as a homeworker, with some travel to your local UK Ulaw campus.

    The successful candidate will work with current ULaw international students and prospective international students looking to study at The University of Law.  

    As an International Student Advisor, you will:

    • Contribute to a timely and student-centred specialist advice and guidance service to international students to enable them to achieve their potential and ensure that they have a positive experience whilst at the University

    • Maintain your own case load, providing specialist information, advice and guidance to international students and applicants on a range of immigration issues and offering practical support on life in the UK

    • Collaborate with the Student Information (SI) and UKVI Student Compliance (USC) teams in co-ordinating and delivering comprehensive welcome and orientation events for international students

    • Participate in the design and delivery, in collaboration with other stakeholders, of an engaging programme of activities throughout the student lifecycle, to support international students’ ongoing engagement and sense of belonging.

    The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the Immigration Rules as they apply to international students studying in the UK – particularly the student route (formerly Tier 4).

    Additionally, you will be able manage conflicting priorities and be resilient and adaptable.  

    We are also looking for people who are/have:

    • Recent experience of handling a case load of complex international student immigration cases in HE, FE or similar setting 

    • Knowledge and understanding of the wellbeing issues facing international students studying in the UK 

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to articulate complex material in an accessible way 

    • Ability to remain professional and calm when working under pressure  

    • Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and discretion

    We hope to conduct interviews the week beginning 9 March 2026. Interviews will be held online via MS Teams.
