The role
We are looking for a Bank Health Coach to join our specialist Tier 3 weight management team. This is a flexible, 0-hour contract designed to work around your schedule. There are no fixed hours; instead, we offer shifts based on business demand and your individual availability, making it a perfect fit if you are looking for supplemental work or a highly adaptable routine
Job requirements
Essential:
● Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in the nutritional management of patients with complex health conditions.
● Proven experience in managing a large and varied caseload.
● Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
● Strong attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive data.
● Ongoing commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and maintenance of AfN registration requirements.
● Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
● Demonstrated emotional resilience and the capacity to thrive in challenging situations.
● Highly organised and adaptable, capable of keeping pace with a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
● Confident user of IT systems, including electronic patient records, email, word processing, and data entry platforms.
● Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of service contracts and support the wider team as required.
Desirable:
● Experience delivering a Diabetes Remission programme
● Experience of managing safeguarding scenarios
● BCT and/or Motivational Interviewing training and experience of using this learning in ● practice
Education & Qualifications
● 2:1 degree in accredited Nutrition course (RfN with AfN membership) or an appropriate ● degree in Dietetics and current dietetic registration with HCPC
● Completed in-house Oviva BCT training
Job responsibilities
● Deliver one-to-one and group consultations via phone, video call, or in-person sessions, providing coaching support through the Oviva app for clients using Oviva’s UK services.
● Apply expert knowledge in diet and nutrition to support patients with a range of evidence-based dietary approaches.
● Guide patients to make positive, practical changes to their diet and lifestyle, primarily through remote support.
● Support medically and psychologically complex patients, including those with multiple comorbidities.
● Use behaviour change strategies and motivational interviewing techniques to guide patients throughout the duration of the programme.
● Record attendance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes, contributing to ongoing service evaluation and reporting.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical notes using Oviva’s secure electronic medical record system.
● Handle sensitive data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
● Complete all required Oviva training and stay informed on updates to programme processes.
● Adhere to Information Governance and data protection regulations when handling patient information.
● Manage clinical risk incidents, adverse events, and out-of-range readings safely, following Oviva’s protocols.
● Follow Oviva’s Safeguarding and Incident policies at all times.
● Work autonomously, appropriately managing clinical risk in day-to-day practice while seeking professional guidance when needed.
