Location: This role is home based, however with a requirement to be office based a minimum of 1 day per week including our S4B Office, Brunswick, Manchester as well as for any other purpose required of the role. 

Temporary: The successful candidate will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Housing Apprenticeship which is an 18-month course. 

Working hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £22,932 (£12.60 Per Hour Real Living Wage)

    About the Role

    We are looking for an Apprentice Customer Accounts Assistant to join our busy Customer Accounts & Money Advice team, to maximise income for Onward and for our customers through a variety of methods, delivering excellent levels of service to colleagues and customers, and providing administrative support across a number of key tasks.

    This role is home based, however with a requirement to be office based a minimum of 1 day per week including our S4B Office, Brunswick, Manchester as well as for any other purpose required of the role. 

    Assessment for this role includes online assessment, assessment centre and remote interview. The successful candidate will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Housing Apprenticeship which is an 18-month course. 

    Entry Requirements

    Qualifications: You must have a grade 4 or above in GCSE Mathematics and English

    Residency: You must be a UK citizen or have the right to work in the UK. You also need to have been living in the UK or EEA for the past three years.

    Right to Work: You need to have the legal right to work in the UK, which can be demonstrated through citizenship or relevant immigration documentation.

    Skills & Experience

    Essential:

    • Experience delivering good customer service.

    • Good communication, organisation and record keeping skills.

    • Ability to work on own initiative within defined guidelines.

    • IT skills – Microsoft office to Intermediate level.

    • Commitment to being accountable for own knowledge, skills and personal development – including developing an understanding of the social, economic and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate.

    • Customer service skills- Ability to deal confidently with making inbound and outbound contact with customers via the telephone and any other methods required.

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of Social Housing.

    • Some knowledge of the welfare benefits system.

    • Some experience and understanding of income and arrears management processes.
