Salary: £29,632 pro rata, per annum (£49,387 FTE)

    We have a new unique opportunity for an Admiral Nurse to join Dementia UK to provide specialist support to families affected by complex issues in relation to sport and dementia.

    Working alongside the Consultant Admiral Nurse, you will deliver specialist clinical support through phone, virtual, and face-to-face clinics. You will be involved in partnership working with sporting organisations such as the PFA: Professional Football Association, RLC: Rugby League Cares and RPA: Rugby Players Association. You will have the opportunity to build these relationships and network with a range of sporting bodies, charities and organisations to influence best practice and strengthen pathways of dementia support. You will also contribute to evaluation, research, education, and engage with wider team initiatives alongside acting as an ambassador for Dementia UK in attending regional or national events and conferences.

    We are looking for you to be a registered nurse with experience in dementia care and an understanding of sport and dementia. You will have excellent communication skills, can work autonomously and collaboratively and are confident in clinical decision-making . You will have a willingness to travel as the role combines remote working and face-to-face clinical delivery that involves regular travel and some overnight stays.
