    The Role

    Reporting directly to the Co-founder and Director of Operations, the successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration of a busy international consultancy. This is a hands-on, varied role covering every aspect of the transactional finance function, with genuine scope to grow as the business does.

    This role is designed for someone who finds genuine satisfaction in being close to the numbers and the business on a day to day basis. It is a hands-on, operational finance role rather than a strategic or leadership position and will suit someone who wants to own a function rather than manage one.


    Key Responsibilities

    ? Raising and managing client invoices across multiple currencies and jurisdictions globally

    ? Processing UK and India payroll, with scope to extend as the business grows internationally

    ? Managing employee and consultant expenses including travel and accommodation

    ? Credit control; monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue accounts

    ? Bank reconciliations and accurate maintenance of all transaction records

    ? Purchase ledger management; processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs

    ? VAT return preparation and submission

    ? Liaison with external accountants for year end and statutory reporting

    ? Basic management accounts support — providing leadership with monthly financial visibility

    ? Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit readiness

    About You

    ? AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent practical experience

    ? Solid transactional finance experience gained in a small to medium sized business

    ? Experience of international invoicing and multi-currency transactions is beneficial

    ? Familiarity with payroll processing, ideally across more than one jurisdiction

    ? Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar

    ? Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment

    ? An interest in or understanding of the life sciences or professional services sector is beneficial but not essential
